1. Review 2020, then let it go
Reviewing the year is a forgotten practice but, perhaps, is as equally important as setting up your new yearly goals.
If you had written goals at the beginning of 2020 and accomplished far fewer than what you wanted, know that it is okay. We were all thrown the biggest curveball this year. It is perfectly fine that things did not go the way as planned.
What counts though, is that we made it through. Give yourself credit where credit is due. You may not realize how far you came this year or how much you accomplished.
2. Prioritize a healthy mindset
It’s time to start prioritizing your relationship with yourself and a healthy mindset. How you speak to yourself matters and what you think of yourself matters.
Make it a habit to work on loving, knowing, and accepting yourself every single day.
Being true to yourself and living in alignment with your beliefs will ensure the flow of positive thoughts and a happy life.

3. Digital Declutter
Now more than ever, it is becoming increasingly important to declutter your digital devices.
Screens are most of our lives now. They are where our eyes spend a good portion of our day. (sad to think about but true)
Make your digital device a place of zen and organized peace.
Delete old files and photos and upload the rest on an external hard drive or USB. Label it: Files & Photos 2020. Voila!

4. Do a Home Reset
Our surroundings affect the way we think and feel. For example, rooms with bright light can boost our mood and a clean and tidy space can reduce stress.
Rearrange your furniture, dust, and pick up the decor you haven’t touched all year. Give your forgotten spaces some love & attention.
The places we live in not only shape our feelings but also the decisions we make. A minimalist home will allow you to make big decisions quickly, tidy up faster, and have more time for relationships and fun.
My personal tip is to ask myself: “if I had to pick everything up right now to move across the country, or even across the sea, what would I take with me?”.
5. Set clear & realistic goals
I have heard the phrase “if your dreams don’t scare you then they aren’t big enough.” so many times. I find an issue with this phrase though.
Sometimes we set our goals so large that they are intimidating, thus prohibiting us from taking action on them.
On the other hand, if we set our goals too small we will overshoot them quickly.
You have to figure out the right balance. Create simple goals that align with what you value, what you find meaningful, and what will make you most proud of yourself after accomplishing them.
